Rosemount Music Academy, LLC is a DDA Certified Service Provider in the State of Maryland. We provide DDA services to individuals with disabilities and their families, and WE also offer resources, individualized & quality support, and creative learning opportunities for personal growth & development. We envision that the clients we served will be fully included, participating members of their communities.
Rosemount Music Academy also offers Vocal & Instrumental Music lessons & Art Workshop, Education & Training, Recreational Activities, Enrichment Program for all ages, and Summer Camp for students from Pre K-12th grade.
The Rosemount Music Academy will operate six times a week:
A. DDA Programs & Services for eligible participants approved for DDA Service Waivers; hours, and services are based on Person's Centered Plan. You can learn more about DDA services at https://dda.health.maryland.gov.
B. Education and Training. Our continuing education focuses on Literacy Programs, Adaptive Math & Reading, Computer Education and using Assistive Technology (2 pm-7 pm) Monday thru Friday and Saturday (8 am-6 pm).
C. Before & After School Programs: Homework Assistance, Recreational Activities/Enrichment Program (Art Classes, Computer Skills, Educational Board Games, Music & Movement (A.M & P.M) Monday thru Friday.
D. Private and Group Music Lessons (Monday thru Friday 3:00 pm-7 pm & Saturday 9 am-6 pm.
E. Early Childhood Music Classes, Adult Music Classes, and Music Therapy (Monday thru Friday 3:00 pm-7 pm & Saturday 9 am-6 pm).
The academy consists of two large rooms for the Education & Training and Creatve Arts Program; and two built studios comprising fully soundproofed rooms (Instrumental Music Room, Vocal Music Room). Our studio contains high-quality learning tools, equipment, musical instruments, and resources for students to learn in a safe, relaxing & inspiring environment.
Situated in the vibrant Bowie area, the academy is an ideal location close to schools, offices, and parking. With a dynamic mix of local independent shops and market places, this site is ideal for shopping while the kids have their lesson. There is also a waiting area in the academy for parents to wait for their children while they receive programs, services, creative arts, & music lessons if they wish to do.

All the academy staff is licensed/certified and trained to get the very best out of each client/individual. RMA staff members also receive training in First Aid & CPR, and a criminal record check is required.

MUSIC LESSONS
RMA provides private and group music lessons (piano, voice, guitar, violin, flute, drums/percussion), early childhood music classes, adult music classes, and music therapy.
We believe that the quality of lessons, services, and personal rapport with our students and families are key factors for us to flourish and to be noteworthy in the community.
DDA PROGRAM & SERVICES
RMA offers a variety of services for children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We aim to help improve the lives of our clients and their families by providing a variety of high-quality services.
WE believe that every individual can live a meaningful life in the community and succeed if given an opportunity to reach their full potentials.
ENRICHMENT PROGRAM & SUMMER CAMP
Students in Before & After School Enrichment Programs are grouped by age and grade level. They will have access to mentoring, homework assistance, team building activities, fun games, and creative learning.
Our Summer Camp program will be offered to children ages 4 through 16. During the camp, children will learn the art of playing musical instruments and participate in other recreational activities as well as educational activities. Students in each group are supervised by well-qualified staff.
OUR HISTORY
Rosemount Music Academy, LLC offers a unique variety of programs and music services to people of all ages through creative learning opportunities and music exploration. Our curriculum is tailored to specific individual needs and interests by learning about their personal interests & musical objectives and developing skills and self-confidence to achieve their goals.
For the past six years, the founder/instructor taught private and group vocal and instrumental music in her in-home-music studio. Since more students are trying to book for the lessons and the space at home is not enough to accommodate many students, her better behalf encourages her to expand the business. Later, they found a space they liked and decided to go for it. They felt that it would be a great place to start a music school and an after school enrichment program.
As parents, community leaders, church choir cantors, and directors, the couple believed that music education is very beneficial in child development. Numerous research and studies showed that musical training is good in early development and will certainly help their cognitive, social, emotional, speech, language, auditory, and motor development. Music may also have therapeutic effects on children and adults with cognitive dysfunction, depression, and a wide range of developmental issues. Thus, music would always be an important part of people's health and wellness regimen.
The couple's enthusiasm and passion for music have always been a large part of their lives. They are very zestful to share the "gift of music" to people from all walks of life and help young people find a passion for music, teaching them to be expressive and find confidence through music playing and performances.
The music couple has two kids who are also actively engaged in creative music and performing arts. Both are talented musicians and enjoy working with children. Wilma has a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and Healthcare. She has also a degree in Music/Music Therapy and Special Education. Wilma is an active church member, choir director and a special ed catechist volunteer. Rey is a baritone singer, liturgical music planner, and a trained music technologist. From Rey and Wilma's inception, they have envisioned (RMA) Rosemount Music Academy, LLC as a unique place and organization that can address so many facets of the music industry from lessons, to performances, to music therapy, and to provide special needs programs and services to people with disability.
RMA has diverse programs and services that will surely help individuals transform their lives and explore the many faces and facets of creative exploration, community integration, work & services.
